Estimation Engineer / Tender Executive (Interior Design Projects)

Summary of Position:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer / Tender Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, BOQs, tender documents, and pricing proposals for interior design and fit-out projects. The role requires close coordination with design teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure competitive and accurate costings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis for interior projects (commercial, corporate, residential, retail).
- Study drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess the scope of work.
- Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations for pricing accuracy.
- Draft and submit technical & commercial bids as per client requirements.
- Work closely with design and project teams for material selection and quantity take-offs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for updated material rates and negotiate for best pricing.
- Maintain records of tenders submitted, pricing history, and awarded projects.
- Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Track and follow up on tender submissions and assist in negotiations as required.

Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering / Interior Design / Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Years of relevant experience in estimation/tendering for interior design or fit-out projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
- Strong understanding of interior finishes, materials, and execution processes.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tenders simultaneously.

- Prior experience in corporate office interiors, retail fit-outs.
- Knowledge of local market rates, taxation (GST), and regulatory compliances.
- Experience working with architects, PMCs, and large corporate clients.
